Course Objectives At the end of this course students learn the concepts related to, anatomical terminology and basic physiological concepts, the body's structural and functional organization, structure and function of the cell, cell-organ-system interactions, structures and functions of the body systems (musculoskeletal, respiratory, circulatory, urinary system).
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • describe the terms of element, compound, atom, molecule, solubulity, polarity, hydrophobic, hydrophilic, acid, base and pH
  • define basic words used in anatomical terminology
  • explain the structural and functional organization of the body
  • define the basic structure and function of cell
  • define the structure and function of the musculoskeletal system
  • define the structure and function of the respiratory system
  • define the structure and function of the circulatory system
  • define the structure and function of the urinary system
Course Description This course covers the basic concepts of anatomy and physiology, anatomical terminology, cells, tissues, organization of the organs and systems, movement, the structure and function of the respiratory, circulatory and urinary systems.
