Research Assistant Ecem Özgül received her BSc (2017) from Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Nursing; She completed her MSc (2020) at Dokuz Eylul University Institute of Health Sciences, Internal Medicine Nursing program. Özgül, who continues her studies on the Department of Geriatrics within the Department of Internal Diseases, continues her doctoral education in the Internal Medicine Nursing program of Dokuz Eylül University Health Sciences Institute. Özgül, who previously worked in the internal medicine service of Dokuz Eylul University Hospital, has been working as a research assistant in the nursing department of Izmir University of Economics, Faculty of Health Sciences, since 2019.

She graduated from Ege University Nursing School in 1985. She worked as a general surgery clinic nurse for three years at Dokuz Eylul University Hospital, as a responsible nurse for three years, and as Surgical Units head nurse at the same hospital for the next three years. She completed his graduate studies in Dokuz Eylül University Health Sciences Institute Public Health in 1991 and in Dokuz Eylül University Health Sciences Institute Surgical Diseases Nursing in 1997. In 2003, he completed the Doctorate Program of Surgical Diseases Nursing at Ege University Health Sciences Institute. She worked as a research assistant at Dokuz Eylül University Nursing School in 1996-1999, as a lecturer in 1999-2004, and as an assistant professor in 2004-2010. she carried out duties received the title of Associate Professor on 27 April 2010 and professor on 16 June 2015. She she carried out duties in 2010-2016, Dokuz Eylül University Health Sciences Institute Board Member, Dokuz Eylül University Faculty Board Associate Professor Member in 2011-2014, Faculty and Faculty Board of Directors Professor Member in 2015-2016, Surgical Diseases Nursing Department in 2010-2016 She served as the Vice Dean in 2015-2016. She started to work as a professor at Izmir University of Economics on September 01, 2016. Prof. Dr. Özgül KARAYURT has served as a advisor for many master's and doctoral thesis, and has many articles, papers, awards in the scientific field, and membership of various associations in his field. She is married and has two children.

She graduated from Gulhane Military Medical Academy (GMMA) School of Nursing in 1995. After a one-year internship, she worked in the Surgical Department of Kasımpaşa Naval Hospital from 1996 to 1998 and served as Head Nurse at Şırnak Military Hospital from 1999 to 2000. She completed her master's degree in 2000 at the Istanbul University Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics Nursing, and her doctorate in 2004 at the GMMA Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics Nursing. Between 2004 and 2009, she served as a Lecturer in the Department of Professional Courses at the GMMA School of Nursing, and between 2009 and 2011, she served as the Personnel Branch Manager at the Erzurum Regional Health Services Command. She was awarded the title of Associate Professor in June 2011 and worked as a faculty member in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing at the GMMA School of Nursing from September 2011 to September 2017. She began working as a faculty member at Izmir University of Economics in March 2018. She has continued her role as Head of the Nursing Department since March 2022. Prof. Dr. Tülay YAVAN has published articles in national and international journals, contributed to book chapters, and holds various memberships in professional associations within her field.

She is a 2010 graduate of GATA Nursing High School. Between 2010 and 2019, she worked as a nurse in different cities of Turkey. She completed her master's degree in Erciyes University Health Sciences Institute Nursing program in 2017. She started her doctorate education in the field of Surgical Diseases Nursing at SBU Gülhane Health Sciences Institute in 2018. She has been working as a lecturer at Izmir University of Economics since 17 May 2019.

After receiving her undergraduate degree from Ege University in 1990, she went on to obtain her Master degree in 1998 and her PhD degree in 2004 in the field of surgical nursing at Ege University Health Sciences Institute. Between 1990 - 2001, she worked at Ege University Hospital, in the Orthopedics & Traumatology and Chest Diseases Departments. In 2001, she began her academic career as a research assistant at Ege University Ataturk School of Health. In 2010, she was awarded the title of Associate professor and in 2015 was appointed as a professor. She started working at the Faculty of Nursing in Ege University in 2013 and was appointed 40/b. In the same year, she took part in the establishment of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Nursing Department at the Izmir University of Economics. In 2014, after the opening of the faculty, she started working at İzmir University of Economics and is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences. During her career, Professor Ogce Aktas has been an active in her field; she studied with Prof. Nick Santamaria on wound healing at the University of Melbourne through YOK scholarships in 2010 and 2012. In addition, she has been the chairman of the Turkish Surgical and Operating Room Nurses Association since 2014. She is also the representative for Türkiye of the European Association of Operating Room Nurses (EORNA) and the International Federation of Perioperative Nurses (IFPN).
