Course Objectives	At the end of this course, it is aimed that students learn basic physiological concepts, biochemical basis of life, properties of macromolecules, functional organisation of the body, cell functions, functions of body systems (musculoskeletal, respiratory, circulatory, excretory systems).
Learning Outcomes	The students who succeeded in this course; Define the characteristic properties of living organisms, levels of organization, and essential elements. Explain the differences between organic and inorganic compounds as well as ionic and covalent bonds. Explain fundamental chemical concepts such as solubility, polarity, ionization, electrolytes, acid-base balance, pH, and the biological importance of water. Identify the structures, biological functions, and metabolic processes of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids. Explain the functions of enzymes and their effects on biochemical reactions. Describe biological energy production mechanisms, anabolic and catabolic processes, aerobic and anaerobic respiration, and the interrelationships between metabolic pathways. Explain the mechanisms of respiration, circulation, excretion, and nervous systems, as well as muscle contraction. Define the components of blood, action potential, and ECG waves. Explain negative and positive feedback mechanisms, factors affecting blood pressure, and the role of the kidneys in blood pressure regulation. Describe the fundamental processes related to substance transport across the cell membrane, urine formation, and the functional organization of the human body.
Course Description	This course Basic concepts of physiology and biochemistry, basic characteristics of life, macromolecules, cell, tissue, organ and system functioning. It covers the functions of movement, respiratory, circulatory and excretory systems.
