The students who succeeded in this course;

• List infectious diseases in humans.
• Explain the transmission mechanisms of infectious diseases, prevention and treatment approaches from infectious diseases.
• Recognize the basic concepts of pharmacology.
• Define the routes of administration of drugs, the stages of absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination after they entered the body and the practical importance of these concepts.
• Define drug action mechanisms, the impact of dose in terms of drug effectiveness, adverse and toxic effects of drugs as well as the drug interactions
• Identify the mechanisms of cell injury, adaptation, tissue repair and wound healing.
• Discuss the general features, types, systemic effects , morphological findings of inflammation, features, etiology, molecular basis and nomenclature of cancer.
• Discuss the pathogenesis and morphological findings of hemodynamic disorders, thromboembolic diseases, infarction and shock.
