Course Objectives In this course, it is aimed that the students plan, implement and evaluate the effective nursing care of the healthy/sick elderly, and determine, plan, implement and evaluate the care service required for individuals of all age groups in their homes/nursing homes.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • explain the health problems/needs of the elderly individual
  • explain the planning and management of nursing care for elderly needs and health problems
  • discuss legal, ethical and political issues in the care of the elderly person.
  • describe the concept of home care, general principles in home care
  • describe home care services in the world and in Turkey
  • discuss legal, ethical and political issues in home care
Course Description This course contains knowledge and skills for students of all ages in need of care in healthy / sickly elderly and home / nursing homes and planning for appropriate nursing care
