Course Objectives At the end of this course, students are aimed to integrate the information they learned in public health nursing and mental health and illness nursing courses into public health and mental health and nursing practice areas.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • The students will be able to identify and plan priorities on issues related to individual, family and community health, and ensure the improvement of health by making evaluation
  • The students will be able to plan, implement and evaluate the health education needs of individuals
  • The students will be able to open early diagnosis methods of health problems that are common in the society
  • The students will be able to define the cultural competence and development process
  • The students will be able to discuss the effects of globalization on health and health inequalities
  • The students will have the ability to analyze the data of the patient he / she carries about the field of psychiatric diseases and decide on appropriate nursing interventions
  • The students will be able to evaluate the effects of psychiatric diseases on the patient and the family, apply necessary nursing interventions
  • The students will be able to explain the legal and ethical issues expected to be observed while working in public health and psychiatric areas
Course Description This course includes the observation, application and association of nursing care with theoretical knowledge in Public Health and Mental Health nursing practice areas.
