Course Objectives At the end of this course, students will be able to define the cognitive, psychological, behavioral reactions and psychosocial problems that can develop the health of the patients and their families due to the physical (medical) illness, ranging from primer protection to rehabilitation. Thus, the trainer role in counseling the nurse of the patient provides training for nurses on psychosocial diagnosis, care and work stress
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • make a psychosocial diagnosis of patients and their families who are hospitalized (lying or distant) for physical illness
  • explain the interaction between physical condition and mental state of an individual with physical complaint or disease
  • plan direct or indirect psychosocial care interventions
  • explain the ways patients and their families develop ways to cope with the problems of the disease process
  • list nurses' professional, personal self-esteem, therapeutic group work to increase entrepreneurship
Course Description This course covers the physical and mental state of the individual with physical illness, therapeutic communication, individual and group counseling for developmental and situational crises, loss process, burnout and job satisfaction experienced by nurses.
