Course Objectives At the end of this course, students are aimed to integrate the theoretical knowledge based on the current evidence obtained in the surgical field to the patient in clinical practice.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • collect data from healthy/ill person and their family using appropriate communication skills in surgical units
  • make a nursing diagnosis to the patients he/he cared for
  • explain the reasons for nursing diagnoses
  • apply appropriate nursing interventions
  • evaluate the results of nursing interventions applied
  • give health education to healthy / sick individual and family
  • use current evidence-based practices in patient care

  • act in accordance with legal and ethical issues in their practices
Course Description This course covers the development of nursing care management in surgical clinics and its relation with theoretical knowledge.
